It’s been a year since I wrote The Best Information Security Books of 2023. Which was preceded by:

The 5 Best Information Security Books of 2022

The 5 Best Information Security Books of 2021

The Best Information Security Books of 2020

The Best Information Security Books of 2019.

As the year is coming to a close, here’s my list of the Best Information Security Books of 2024.

Information security book of the year

Israel and the Cyber Threat: How the Startup Nation Became a Global Cyber Power

When it comes to information security vendors, how is it that Israel has more security companies than the UK, Canada, India, Germany, and France combined? The question is even more compelling given that Israel has a population of roughly 8 million, while those five countries have approximately 1.5 billion inhabitants.

In Israel and the Cyber Threat: How the Startup Nation Became a Global Cyber Power (Oxford University Press), authors Charles Freilich, Matthew Cohen, and Gabi Siboni write about how other countries can learn from Israel’s experience developing an effective cybersecurity program.
